Policy, pedagogy and pupil perceptions: EAL in England and Scotland
This project aims to give EAL learners a voice in shaping and informing their learning opportunities and experiences and to identify ways in which their perceptions can be used to improve their learning experiences within UK schooling. The authors of the project are CERES Co-Director Yvonne Foley, Charles Anderson, Pauline Sangster, Viv Edwards and Naz Rassool. The project has been funded by The Bell Foundation.

British Sociological Association Event: What Next for Childhood Studies?
The one-day BSA Early Career Forum event on ‘What Next for Childhood Studies? Pushing Boundaries’ will take place at the University of Edinburgh on Friday 15 April 2016. Please join us for a day of stimulating presentations and discussions about the future of childhood studies.
Drafts of full papers (4,000 words) will be disseminated to delegates, and all delegates will be asked to sign up for presentation streams in advance of the event, in order to allow for discussion and participation of everyone on the day.
